So why follow the traditional one Roast Master philosophy for micro-roasters ?

Being based in Johannesburg this was a question iKhofi needed to address during its continuous evolution. How can we possibly even think of being able to offer a unique quality coffee experience for Joburgers whose heritages are based all over South Africa, Africa, Europe and beyond. The answer for iKhofi was having two roast masters, one not being more important than the other and the more different the better. Sorry no vacancies for a third roast master, since the too many chefs parable also holds true for coffee roasting.

iKhofi also has two Baristas, Annah and Mabusana. They are our final front, transforming Mathabisile's and Joe's creations into an unforgettable cup of coffee. We purposely do not base our coffee preparation procedures on any national or international organisation such as the World Barista Championships. We simply brew our coffees so that they make the best cup possible, in a style favoured by our customers.

Don't be scared to ask our Roast Masters to brew you a special cup either, since they love talking about coffee while enjoying one of their creations. If you would like to brew coffee at home as we do, simply ask and we will gladly provide the necessary skills and knowledge.
